Keyshia Cole on Estranged Husband: I Told Him, ‘I Hope You Really Find That Woman and be Good to Her’

Keyshia Cole: It’s a lot of things you should think about, if you really feel like that in your heart and soul as a person, man, and father, and things like that. I know people make mistakes, but you have to think about those things, because ultimately its not worth it.

The Breakfast Club: Can’t we separate for a while. He admitted he failed you as a husband.

Keyshia Cole: It’s a lot of admitting and a lot of doing wrong and then it just gets tired.

The Breakfast Club: What if he pulled a Robin Thicke?

Keyshia Cole: I told him, I hope you really find that woman and be good to her.

The Breakfast Club: I heard he’s rapping now?

Keyshia Cole: He is unfortunately. He is really talented all jokes aside.

The Breakfast Club: Ever since you broke up with Boobie, you said you have a new perspective on love and relationship. What is that?

Keyshia Cole: Friendship. It has to be friendship, best friends. Who ever the guy is that I’m going to end up with forever, I want it to be my best friend. Like Bey and Jay, that’s like his homie at the end of the day. Tip and Tiny, that’s his homie. That’s what it ultimately matters and that’s what I pray for.

The Breakfast Club: Do you find yourself caring about what your ex is doing, like on Instagram or Twitter?

Keyshia Cole: No. unfollowed, blocked, all of that. You don’t want to put it in your face.

The Breakfast Club: Whoopi Goldberg said on the view, if a women hits a man she has to expect to get hit back, your thoughts?

Keyshia Cole: Men have to stop cheating and that’s what causes you to get your mouth smacked. You have to keep your hands to yourself and its hard. When Gib and I got into it and I smacked him real hard, he just took it.

The Breakfast Club: Would you give a man a pass if he cheated?

Keyshia Cole: Yeah, [third time] that’s when it has to stop. Its like okay you’re not learning and I don’t think you want to. I wouldn’t date nobody out in basketball and they in the locker room talking.

The Breakfast Club: Have you ever cheated?

Keyshia Cole: My first boyfriend, that’s when I realized. I’m good for leaving you though. You not about ot play me. If I want to do what I want to do, then I’m going to do it.
