[EXCLUSIVE] Eminem: Files Lawsuit Over Concerts With Rihanna, Hunting For Counterfeiters & Illegal Products
The lawsuit notes Eminem has sold over 100 million records and has a extremely strong fan base where he fills stadium arenas when he performs. Also, they state he has been using his trademark to sell to these fans for the past 18 years. Bravado says that the rapper is set to perform at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena on August 7th & 8th.
The docs state that they are aware that people will be selling knock off merchandise that infringes on the rappers copyright. They explain the products look similar but are cheaply made imitations, but they still confuse consumers and ruin Eminem’s reputation. Further, all counterfeit merchandise sold cuts away from the rappers profits since his products weren’t purchased. The company also says that the counterfeiters sales will drive down the price of Eminem’s products.
Bravado is seeking a court injunction against any person selling fake merchandise and also a order allowing local law enforcement to seize all the knock off items to be seized and destroyed. Read the Exclusive Lawsuit Documents.
