KeKe Palmer Joins Protesters in Ferguson: They Threw Tear Gas, My Mom Was Shot With Pellets!

KeKe Palmer is talking the talk and walking the walk.

On Saturday, the 20-year-old talk show host joined protesters in Ferguson, Missouri protesting over the shooting death of Michael Brown.

As previously reported, a police officer shot and killed Brown, an unarmed African-American teenager, on Aug. 9, setting off protests, looting and unrest across the country.

KeKe’s involvement comes just days after she was criticized for urging unity and non-violence.

KeKe post a series of Instagram videos of her demonstrating.

One such video was of a woman she had met who had allegedly been arrested and assaulted while in custody. KeKe recounts the story, and reveals that her mother was shot in the neck with pellets. She wrote:
