Adele Givens Hints Lawsuit Against Sheryl Underwood: For the record, she lied on us!
Comedian Adele Givens is none too pleased about comments made by Sheryl Underwood. This week, Adele hinted that she’s gotten an attorney involved and has some legal plans underway, directed at the comedian/talk show host. On Twitter she wrote:
An attorney has advised against speaking out. But y’all need2 kno that for the record @sherylunderwood lied on us on CBS. jus b patient
She also added:
“just2 clarify, Sheryl Underwood was never asked to be on the original Queens of Comedy.” -walter latham qoc promoter.
As previously reported, last week, Sheryl shocked The Talk viewers, when she revealed a secret surrounding Queens of Comedy comedians Laura Hayes, Adele Givens, Sommore, and Mo’Nique.
In short, Sheryl revealed over hearing a damaging conversation with the women sans Mo. The women apparently were criticizing her, which resulted in her turning down the gig.
Some of the comedians have responded, while others have remained mum. No further details have yet been shared about the alleged lawsuit.

Now Adele Givens want to sue because she been called out. People make me sick when they wrong they do they best to make the person suffer again that they did wrong. I hope this doesn’t stand up in a court of law. I am proud of Sheryl she didn’t say anything bad about either of them. I love how she said she took what they said and it made her grow from it. She took it as these are things that people felt about her but couldn’t say it in her face. I call this GROWTH for her. Sheryl keep doing what you doing…God is blessing you and look where the others are…not on daytime TV :) ijs

Adele is broke!! Now she is just reconfirming the fact that she is broke, Sheryl was classy in her statement and that was that. She is still progressing. The Queens of Comedy was back in 2001 or so…she needs to be a part of VH-1’s where are they now…#getoverit…you got caught up and now exposed. Be a true diva and rise to the occasion, if you said it you said it, own it, apologize and get on with life. Sad case…of course you see that Adele and Laura are the only two making a big issue over it because they are financially strapped and hoping they can hang on to Sheryl’s shine, play a victim and profit from it.
Let it go! She would have gotten so much props if she just said “I don’t remember that conversation, but if it did happen I apologize if I hurt Sheryl’s feelings. I am happy for her success.” That’s it!!
Now she looks negative and bitter.
Also the statement about her not being asked to be in first Queens of Comedy…so what!? She’s talking about the 2nd Queens of Comedy.
