[EXCLUSIVE] Jamie Foxx & 2 Chaniz – Lawsuit Accusing Them of Stealing Music Dismissed
The lawsuit said the 2 songs were EXACTLY the same, with the same lyrics–only with different singers on the tracks. They sued for damages due to the copyright violations by the artists.
Then on September 20th, only a DAY after the lawsuit was filed in court, the music company filed docs stating they are dismissing the entire legal battle. The docs don’t make mention of a settlement but the fact that the legal battle has been dismissed WITHOUT the option to refile, leads one to believing a private settlement was reached following the filing of the complaint. Regardless, the case was closed the same day by the federal court judge.
