[EXCLUSIVE] Dwyane Wade’s Lawyer Blasts His Ex-Wife In Legal Battle
She filed suit for excessive force and false arrest, along with defamation of her character. The suit comes after the kidnapping charges were eventually dismissed last year.
Then on September 26th, Wade’s lawyer James Pritikin fired back at the legal battle filed by Siovaughn.
He explains that she is attempting to sue him because he called police on June 16, 2012 to inform them that Dwyane’s children had been abducted. The lawyer claims that Siovaughn doesn’t know what was said on the phone when he called and can’t possibly know if he lied to them about the situation — and thus her conspiracy claim is based on her speculation, which means she has no case.
Pritikin says he is accused of conspiring with police due to that one phone call he made to report the crime. Also, he explains that a Chicago judge found her guilty of the visitation abuse back in 2012.
He also disputes her claim of emotional distress stating,
the police investigation and determination that both Plaintiffs had committed crimes superseded Pritikin’s phone call, as well as the actual criminal activity of both Plaintiff Funches-Wade and Plaintiff Alarcon. Accordingly, Plaintiffs have failed to sufficiently allege any actions on the part of Pritikin that would establish a casual connection between his phone call to the police and Plaintiffs’ alleged emotional distress.
Piktikin is demanding the entire lawsuit be dismissed and Siovaughn be awarded nothing.
