[Never Ending Lawsuit] Nicki Minaj Wig Maker Terrence Davidson Continues Legal Battle (EXCLUSIVE)
Minaj fired back at the legal action and said that Davidson was only bitter because they no longer worked together and that wigs can’t be trademarked by a person — so she didn’t steal anything.
Then on September 16th, the federal court judge came back and sided with Minaj. The order states that Davidson has no case because he never signed any written contracts and Nicki only made verbal agreements with him.
Further, “The fact that Defendant Maraj’s promises were only an agreement to agree, when combined with the vagueness and indefiniteness of the oral promises, makes it unreasonable for Plaintiff to have relied on them.”
In regards to the wigs — the judge says that Davidson didn’t make any effort to prove that the average consumer would be confused by his wigs and the ones sold by Nicki. Essentially, the judge says he only said his wigs were distinct due to color and style.
The judge then dismissed the entire lawsuit and awarded Davidson none of the $30 MILLION DOLLARS he wanted in the legal battle.
Then on October 15th, Davidson filed docs stating that he is appealing the decision by the court and wants the appeal court to review the order — in hopes that they will find the previous judge made an error and will reverse the decision and award him millions in damages from Minaj.
Minaj has yet to respond to his appeal.
