Is Kevin Hart Greedy?? Movie Exec Calls Comedic Star A Money ‘Whore’ [Leaked Email]
There’s nothing like a leaked Hollywood email, especially when it’s surrounding a well-known Hollywood Star.
A few heads were spinning after a leaked email communication between two Sony execs (Sony Pictures co-chair Amy Pascal, studio executive Clint Culpepper, and Sony Entertainment CEO Michael Lynton) about Kevin Hart surfaced.
Apparently, there was a behind-the-scenes disagreement in March, about paying Hart extra for his social media promotion for the film that was assumed to be Think Like a Man Too.
Reportedly, Hart earned $3 million for the film. Sony expected Hart to tweet about the film, but he allegedly wanted to be paid more for this.
Sony’s Culpepper sent an email out, criticizing the self proclaimed ‘comedic rock star’ for this, writing:
As I suspected, I got a call from Jeremy Zimmer today informing me that they feel that if we’re going to expect and take advantage of Kevin’s social media savvy that “they” feel there is a price to be paid for it

The question you should be asking is do they pay other actor’s of different race to do the same thing without being compensated. Kevin Hart has a lot of followers who happen to Love his movies so I think they should pay him!
great question.
Kevin’s people indicated that he would do the normal press stuff associated with a film – junkets, tv interviews etc. Either the studio should add social media to the list of normal film promotion or pay Kevin for his xtra services. Studios have long been notorious for screwing over actors. Betty Davis, James Cagney are legend for standing up to the Hollywood studio system. Nothing new here – pay Kevin!
