Bill Cosby’s Wife Remains Supportive, Comedian Asks Black Media To Be ‘Neutral’ In Sex Abuse Scandal
As the accusations continue to trickle in, Bill Cosby has remained relatively quiet, using his attorney to address the public and media. On Friday, the 77-year-old legendary comic gave a rare interview, telling the New York Post that he has a different expectation for the black media covering the recent sexual assault allegations against him. He tells the outlet:
Let me say this. I only expect the black media to uphold the standards of excellence in journalism, and when you do that, you have to go in with a neutral mind.” The journalist Cosby was speaking to explains in the article that she frequently writes for the African-American media.
Cosby also compliments his wife of fifty years, Camille, who has remained supportive of him throughout the ordeal. When asked how she has handled the allegations against him, he says:
