Camille Cosby Breaks Her Silence, Defends Husband: He is the man you thought you knew.
Camille Cosby, the wife of Bill Cosby, has broken her silence, issuing a statement on Monday, dismissing accusations from more than 15 women that they were drugged and raped by her husband as long ago as the late 1960s. Read the full statement:
I met my husband, Bill Cosby, in 1963, and we were married in 1964. The man I met, and fell in love with, and whom I continue to love, is the man you all knew through his work. He is a kind man, a generous man, a funny man, and a wonderful husband, father and friend. He is the man you thought you knew.
A different man has been portrayed in the media over the last two months. It is the portrait of a man I do not know. It is also a portrait painted by individuals and organizations whom many in the media have given a pass. There appears to be no vetting of my husband’s accusers before stories are published or aired. An accusation is published, and immediately goes viral.

Women are always coming to their man’s defense for these unacceptable/despicable crimes and it makes them look just as crazy. Yeah she’s been with him for a lifetime & undoubtedly loves the man but like most celebrities, I bet she has dealt with a lot of infidelity over those years. All of these women and she doesn’t think not 1 is telling the truth? I’m not falling for it. Deep down inside, you have to wonder what she’s REALLY feeling and is this something that she was coaxed or groomed to say “all of a sudden”. I guess at this age and all this time invested, she is putting on brave face (kind of obvious with the fake smiles – this isn’t anything to smile about) trying to save her husbands career, character and money, for her sake just as much as his. But I wish she would’ve stayed silent. She’s said more than he has this whole time. #WTF #SMH

Clearly you are an advocate/fan or what have you for Mr. Cosby, and that’s ok. But there are just too many women out there for this to be completely false. So do you think the media conjured up all of them? I think the media has a job to do, and yes, it’s not always honorable. I want to believe its not true but its kind of hard to…really! We’re all entitled to our own opinion and maybe – just maybe one day the truth will prevail. Silence is not always golden. Karma sometimes follows.
