This Week, celebrity wedding and event planner Diann Valentine along with reality cast member April Daniels (of We TV’s Tamar & Vince) Hollywood Exes’ Sheree Fletcher and others teamed up to produce the #UnitedForJustice holiday fundraiser event to help raise funds to benefit the Eric Garner Family. The fundraising event was held to provide financial relief to the Garner family who lost Eric Garner, a husband and father of six children, who was controversially, murdered by an NYPD office on July 17, 2014. “The family will undoubtedly suffer from the immediate financial hardship after their tragic loss, I’m so thankful for social media because we are able to make our voices heard like never before but I simply could not sit back any longer and do nothing so this is my way of doing something” stated Diann Valentine.
Celebrity guests included: Ray J, Shamicka Lawrence (VH1’s Hollywood Exes), Daphne Wayans (VH1’s Hollywood Exes), actress Garcelle Beauvais, musician PJ Morton (Maroon 5), gospel singer Erica Campbell (Mary, Mary), comedian Affion Crockett and actress Michelle Epps.
