(EXCLUSIVE) Steve Harvey Denies Stealing Music for Talk Show, Demands Lawsuit Dismissed
channel that The Steve Harvey show is syndicated and re-broadcasted on. They say the damages done by Harvey may lead to all of the execs of the company filing for bankruptcy, due to them now not being able to license the songs to other shows, radio programs and advertisements.
They also reportedly demanded an injunction against Steve Harvey from continuing to illegally use their music.
Then on January 12th, Harvey responded to the $43 million dollar legal battle. He explains that he did nothing wrong and never used any music illegally or without a license. The talk show host explains that the songs were only used on his program with an expressed or implied license and they were used with consent. Harvey says the music publishing company’s lawsuit doesn’t have any merit and therefore the entire lawsuit should be thrown out. See the exclusive docs.
