“He slapped me so hard I couldn’t hear.” Jazmine Sullivan Shares Domestic Violence Experience [VIDEO]
Jazmine Sullivan is back after a three year sabbatical from the industry and stopped by Power 105’s The Breakfast Club to promote her new album. In case you missed it, the songstress dropped ‘Dumb’ ft. Meek Mill which fell under the radar. They joked that the release was over shadowed by the Jay Z vs Solange fiasco, a bigger story. The interview gets a little up close and personal as she coyly recapped her experience with abuse as one of her few reasons for temporarily leaving music.
Her Philly side also comes out especially as DJ Envy, Charlamagne, and Angela Yee delve into her guilty pleasure and bedroom secret (well not so much), “Who doesn’t masturbate?!” she asked.
JS took the hot seat on the world’s most dangerous radio show. It took no time for them to get down to business when Angela tells her “take yo coat off… stay awhile”, Envy clowns “she ready to run up out this b*tch” suggesting she was afraid of Charlamagne.
The around-the-way girl first addressed her beef with Envy who made comments that put her in the category of “one of the struggling big girl groups” letting him know they had beef, all in good fun. Topic quickly changed to the artist’s new album, “Reality Show” in which she described as showcasing her writing ability:
I wouldn’t say it’s the typical Jazmine Sullivan, where I’m like you know, mad…trying to get them or anything (laughs).
