Quincy’s Family Reminds Him of Empire: It’s organized chaos. [INTERVIEW]
Music was definitely on everyone’s mind at the red carpet premiere of Lee Daniel’s new show “Empire“ starring Terrence Howard and Taraji P. Henson. theJasmineBRAND correspondent Trene Todd caught up with Quincy Brown on the red carpet and being a son of rap royalty himself, he knows what to expect when it comes to the music business.
As the off-spring of Kim Porter and Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs (singer Al B. Sure is his biological father), Quincy is very familiar with the entertainment industry, especially in terms of the music business. During our interview, he shares how he relates to Empire:
This is kind of like my family. My family kind of deals with music and business and all that, so to see it like on TV and really written in a point of view that can really be controversial and all that it’s good to come out and experience that because I know how my life is and everything that goes on.
So it’s good to see a different side of it, but still it’s crazy you what I mean? It’s organized chaos that’s kind of what it is…
Quincy also explains the inspiration behind his new French Montana assisted single, Friends First.
Friends First, its out now everywhere iTunes, Amazon, Google play, whatever you want to call it, its all about basically building a friendship before you kind of go to all that extra stuff, its about taking it slow before you just dive into the unnecessary stuff, you can get into it that, but its necessary once you know the person not just on the quickness because then it gets messy and I’m not about messy stuff and yeah…
For all things Quincy follow him on Twitter and Instagram at @Quincy. His new single, “Friends First”, featuring French Montana is available on Itunes, Amazon, and Google Play. @MySincereLife
