Rihanna just scored a W, in a legal battle with a popular fashion store. The 26-year-old singer won a legal battle against Topshop over a T-shirt with an image of her face.

Reportedly, The Court of Appeal in London upheld a ban on the store selling the shirt, without obtaining her permission.

According to BBC News, this is the first successful celebrity case of its kind, with three appeal judges agreeing that marketing the item without Rihanna’s approval amounted to “passing off“.

The term “passing off” means the unauthorised used of a personal image. The star sued Topshop’s parent company Arcadia for $5M back in 2013 and successfully won the suit this year.
