J.Lo’s 2015 has started off incredible, with topping the billboard charts with her hit song Booty featuring music’s newest sensation Iggy Azalea, Best selling book, and her returning as a favorite on fox’s American Idol you would think that would keep her creative juices busy, but she shows us that there are no limits, with her latest box office hit “The Boy Next Door” which is a drama-romance story about a woman who experiences how one moment of unfulfillment in your relationship can lead you into the arms of a beautiful nightmare.
Jennifer’s co star Ryan Guzman who plays her love interest on being excited about being apart of the film:
I started Jumping up and down. I was so excited to be apart of this film and the opportunity to work with such a great cast. great director, great producers.
Jennifer on relating to the film:
Actually my first boyfriend was the boy next door , when I was 13/14 years old. The character for me was something that seemed a perfect fit for right now, I could relate and I think alot of people can relate, to what she’s been through and going through, men and women being at that point in your life where your relationship kinda falls apart and you are kinda left feeling like that sense of worthlessness and you don’t belong anywhere. I think at the base of Claire’s character people can understand it, they can understand making a mistake like that.
Jennifer on time it took to make film:
25 days & micro budget of 4 million dollars, it was liberating as an artist because it made me realize I could make any movie I want like this, material is what matters, do i feel like doing this at this time and not waiting for a big studio to greenlight something or hire you as an actress, it really is very empowering.
Jennifer on the chemistry on set and no body double being used for “Hot” scenes:
That’s our job to make everything look natural, its always uncomfortable, its a vulnerable position to be in and not something you ever get use to as an actress I don’t think, but its hard to bare your soul emotionally sometimes, you know so, they are difficult scenes to do, but if that scene wasn’t intense, passionate and real enough , the the rest of the movie didn’t make any sense.
This film is a must see!, The intense yet relatable nature is really amazing! The Boy Next Door is in theaters Now! Check your local movie theaters for times of showing and follow all things Jennifer Lopez at JenniferLopez.Com, twitter- @JLo & Instagram- @JLo
