Kanye West Admits He Was Wrong In Stating Beck Should ‘Respect Artistry’, Insists: I didn’t want to take away from his moment. [AUDIO]
It’s been more than 48 hours and folk are still buzzing about the Kanye West – Beck – Grammys debacle. Ye is speaking out and clarifying his recent comments (on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show) made about not only the annual award show, but his criticism of Beck.
Long story short, he says that his intention wasn’t to pull a Kanye on Beck and interrupt his acceptance speech, but it was a bit of a joke:
Right when that happened, everybody was looking at me and then people started screaming, ‘Kanye! Kanye! Go do it!’ Okay, that didn’t really happen. These were voices in my head. So the voices in my head told me go and then I just walked up like halfway up the stage.
He explained:
