(EXCLUSIVE) Lil Wayne Loses $100K In Legal Battle With Music Producer
Lil Wayne was hit with a nearly $100K judgement, with the music producer who sued Young Money over unpaid royalties scoring a HUGE victory in court and the judge ordering the record label to hand over ALL their accounting records ASAP — theJasmineBRAND.com exclusively reports.
Ramon Owen – aka REO – filed suit against Lil Wayne’s Young Money last year claiming they screwed him out of profits for his work on the song “Mirror” featured on Wayne’s “Tha Carter IV.”
Owen explained that he was promised a cut of the albums profits, which sold over 2 million copies. He said the label even sent him a statement showing he was owed $91K, but they never sent his check. He filed suit demanding the court order the label to hand over all their accounting records and pay him the $91K they owed him.
