(EXCLUSIVE) Joe Budden Sued Over Illegally Sampling 80’s Band
Rapper Joe Budden is accused of ripping off a 80’s rock band, by illegally sampling their hit song and now the group has slapped the rapper with a federal lawsuit over the copyright infringement — theJasmineBRAND.com exclusively reports.
Last week, a music company named Woofsongs filed suit against rapper/former Love & Hip Hop NY reality star Joe Budden, DJ Drama and Shady Records in Federal Court.
The company explains that the defendants used a famous recording by Alan Parsons & Eric Woolfson titled “Sirius” on a song entitled “Juggernauts” which was released in 2012. They say that the song was featured on a mix tape entitled “On The House” and it was hugely successful with over 700k downloads and streams online.
