Watch the Trailers! Mike Epps’ ‘Uncle Buck’ + Mark-Paul Gosselaar’s ‘People Are Talking’ [VIDEO]
Mike Epps took to Instagram over the weekend letting his fans know, “there’s a new Uncle Buck in town!” According to the Hollywood Reporter, the 44-year-old will bring his comedic relief to the ABC network this summer in Will Packer’s modern-day remake of the 1989 movie, “Uncle Buck.” In the series, Epps embodies a playful, irresponsible character in desperate need of job and place to stay. The plot begins when he invades the home of his brother and sister-in-law after their babysitter quits.
Epps’ co-stars include an all-black cast: Nia Long, James Lesure, Iman Benson, Sayeed Shahidi and Aalyrah Caldwell, a drastic change from the original movies’ lineup. Corin Huggins and Phil Traill snag producer credits alongside Packer, while Steven Cragg and Brian Bradley penned the scripts.
