(EXCLUSIVE) DJ Khaled Reaches Settlement in $1 Million Dollar Legal Battle w/Ex-Record Label
Khaled sued for breach of contract, failing to report the accounting for his sales and screwing him out of over a million he was owed on the 4 albums which all sold very well thanks to features with Rick Ross, Kanye West and Lil Wayne.
The record label fired back claiming that Khaled waited too long to bring his legal battle and his contract stated he could not audit them years later for royalty amounts. Further, they said Khaled had his royalties assigned to a third party back in 2007 and that company had been paid. They demanded the entire lawsuit be thrown out and Khaled awarded nothing.
Then on May 22nd, docs were filed in the legal battle stating the two parties had reached an agreement in the million dollar legal battle. They both agreed to confidential terms by which the entire case would be dismissed.
