theJasmineBRAND.com exclusively reports, Mariah Carey has reached a confidential settlement with her former nanny – who accused the pop star of firing her for being too affectionate with her children – despite her claims the woman’s lawsuit was only an attempt to shake her down for money.

Earlier this year, a woman named Simonette DaCosta filed a federal lawsuit against Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon. DaCosta – who was the couples former full time Nanny for their two childrenĀ – claimed she was fired for being too affectionate to the twins.

The woman explained that she worked for Mariah and Nick since the kids were infants and would feed, bath and comfort them. She said Mariah wasn’t pleased when she would show the twins affection and often would berate her for doing so.

    Why hire a nanny if you don’t want the kids to “Like” the nanny?? Something’s wrong with Mimi if this is true, of course kids will get attached to nanny’s….#Duh

    If the Nanny was given specific instructions she should have followed those instructions. I believe the Nanny was lying about the “over affection”. She is looking for a pay day just like Nick Cannon. This time Mariah take your time and find a REAL nanny. Maybe from Europe.
