At 61-years-young, Celestine “Tina” Knowles Lawson is oozing confidence as Ebony’s latest cover star. Shot by Itaysha Jordan, in her interview, the famous mother of Beyonce and Solange details the major phases of her life that include mothering a global phenom and her multifaceted fashionista sister.

Rumor has it, Tina — who recently jumped the broom to Richard Lawson — does Pilates five days a week; is in talks for a TV show about “getting your groove back;” does a daily morning prayer; works with charities to support the homeless; and is a self-taught, avid Black art collector and historian.
