Draya Michele Says Hollywood Labels Reality Stars D-List, Shades Sundy Carter + See Her Party at ATL’s Prive [Photos]
Draya Michele has taken full advantage of her reality TV platform, launching a growing fashion line. In addition to being one of the Basketball Wives LA break-out stars, the Philly native has both Fine Ass Girls and Mint Swim lines that continue to boom. In a recent interview with VH1 she explains how she got started in the fashion industry.
Getting into fashion was always something that I wanted to do and I started with Mint Swim. Fine Ass Girls kinda started as a hobby but I did not want it to be merchandise, so I decided to make it a real brand and it just happened to work. I never expected for Fine Ass Girls to be such a big deal.
Draya reveals one of the secrets that makes her line(s) stand out:
[Well] it’s all made by me and I listen to the people, so I already have an audience. I am able to directly ask my people, “Hey, what do you guys want?” and then they answer and I can actually deliver, I can actually make it. I am not just making what I love I am also making what they request.
