Meek Mill Misses His Privacy: You want to be private with your girl once in a while.
In a recent interview with Billboard, Meek Mill (real name Robert Williams) opens up about why he stays away from using his platform for politics; why he misses his privacy and how he doesn’t mind if his girlfriend (Nicki Minaj) murders him lyrically. Peep a few excerpts.
Missing his privacy:
You want to be private with your girl once in a while. I would love to be able to just walk down the street by ourselves.
His rap delivery:
I’m not the best person at putting words together. I can’t give you the melody. But I might inspire somebody.
Nicki insisting he do ‘All Eyes on You’:
She wanted it to be my single, and I didn’t. It turned into an ego argument.
Not feeling threatened by Minaj’s success:
She killed me on that song, but I don’t really care. When my girl do better than me, I still win. When I do better than her, she still wins.

His thoughts on Minaj’s 2014 single “Only,” which features her Young Money label mates Drake and Lil Wayne talking dirty about their crushes on her:
She wasn’t my girl then, but now she wouldn’t even had did that.
Recalling an incident, that happened at 18, where he claims he was beaten by Philly police:
[I had] a concussion, stitches, braids ripped out. My blood was on the ceiling, on the floor.
Returning to jail for five months (in 2014) and spending most of his time in solitary confinement:
Imagine being locked in your bathroom 23 hours a day. That’s the closest I ever came to losing my mind. You’re talking to yourself, playing games with the birds in the window. It’s hell.
Why he stays away from politics:
I’m scared to be political. You get too powerful and more people try to take you out. My son ain’t trying to hear that his dad got put away because he was fighting for the country.

i was with Weak Mills until the end of the interview when he said the dumbest thing ever.. let me get this straight.. you can’t use your voice and platform for political issues that affect your community b/c someone might take you out, but starting petty rap beefs and spitting nonsense to the masses is gon’ keep you safe? oh ok.. -_- Bye meeka.. do better.
These two remind me of J-Lo and Ben Affleck when they were an item. I don’t feel Meek was ready for all that came along with being with “Super Star” Nikki Minaj. Only time will tell…
