Woman Claims She’s The REAL Cookie Lyon, Sues Lee Daniels For $300 Million
Another lawsuit is being served, surrounding the hit Fox series, Empire. A woman by the name of Sophia Eggleston (55) is suing Lee Daniels (the creator of Empire) and the network.
Long story short, Eggleston is suing for $300 million, stating that she is the real Cookie Lyon, the character that is played on Empire by Taraji P. Henson.
Page Six reports that in the actual lawsuit, it states that the Detroit born woman was a “drug kingpin” who did jail time for manslaughter for placing a “hit” on a man. She states that this information, about her life storty, was in a memoir about her “early drug lifestyle” titled “The Hidden Hand.”
