The script, written by Sascha Penn, tells of an ex-criminal (Cube) who must save his son when a group of thugs raid his place of work in the hopes to steal an expensive amount of platinum. The title refers to the L.A. riots in 1992.

I love the idea of these two working together. I hope the son doesn’t try to be, “hard” or “ghetto” like his dad. He is not those things! His father worked VERY hard so he wouldn’t have to be those things. Please don’t try “keeping it real” like RayJ does. It’s annoying and unbelievable!
