‘I couldn’t, I didn’t want to.’ Kelly Osbourne Says She Couldn’t Return to Fashion Police Without Joan Rivers
Regarding Giuliana, she said,
People are responsible for their own words so I couldn’t give a f**k about that.
Kelly also mentioned that after working nonstop for the show for more than 5 years, she wanted to take time for herself.
I haven’t been able to go on family vacations. I worked 52 weeks a year for going on seven years. Five and a half years at Fashion Police and before that with what I was doing before. So really I knew whatever decision I made now was going to really reflect what I want to do for the rest of my life. So I took a break.
Kelly also opened up about how hard it would be to continue the show without legendary comedian and “Fashion Police,” pioneer, Joan Rivers.
You try working with someone that you love and then going back into that same studio. I couldn’t, I didn’t want to. I was ready to go.
Fashion police will make its official return Sunday, covering this year’s MTV Music Video Awards. The show will now be hosted by the late comedian’s daughter and there’s no doubt that Kelly thinks she’s the best person for the job.
I am so happy, I am so happy for her. You know I love Kathy [Griffin], but it was just trial and error, it’s going to take time. It will never be what it was but at least let the right people continue on the legacy.
