Is Terrence Howard’s Role Being Cut From ‘Empire’?

It was revealed during divorce proceedings that Howard had been forced to sign a new spousal support agreement by Ghent, due to the instant success of Empire. The judge ruled in his favor but also called him a “bully.”

Domestic abuse allegations aren’t new against Howard. Ghent, has alleged Terrence abused her on multiple occasions and currently has a restraining order against him. However, he denies the allegations of abuse against her.
Ghent is not the first woman to accuse the actor of abuse. In 2000, he was arrested for assaulting a Continental Airlines flight attendant. Then in 2001, he was arrested for the alleged assault against his first wife Lori McCommas over a cell phone. In March 2005, Howard was involved in an altercation with a couple at Ray’s Dining Car in Philadelphia, where admitted to the arresting officer that he’d hit the couple in self-defense.
Ghent stated that it took only a week after the couple was married for the violence to begin and she filed for divorce in 2011. More recently, in 2013, Howard’s on again-off again girlfriend, May Seng Yang, alleged that during an argument at Howard’s Pennsylvania home, Howard attacked her while his current girlfriend, Erica Jiles looked on. She told the police,
Howard had choked her, thrown her to the ground and punched her in the eye, then told his girlfriend, ‘F-ck this, I’m going to jail for this tonight.’ In a handwritten statement to police, Yang wrote that during their argument she told Howard that he had given her herpes and says he acknowledged doing so.”
While many of the cast members have been promoting the upcoming season, Howard has been noticeably missing from most of the press events for the show. There has been no official comment from Fox or  Howard on the possible changes. [Page Six, The Root]
