Fame is the least attractive thing that Sanaa Lathan finds about working in Hollywood. In a recent interview with Rolling Out, Lathan reveals that she does her job for the art, not the attention.
The actress states that life away from the big screen is pretty normal.
My life in between projects is a very normal life. I live a very simple life in between jobs. I have great friends and family that are very down to earth and I’m not really a seeker of fame. I know that [fame] goes with it. And I’m happy to have fans, but it’s really about the work for me. I love acting. I love what I do. I love being on set and on stage. It’s really what I love and I feel very blessed.
And being in headlines and tabloids isn’t necessarily her thing.
The people that you see out everywhere all the time — they’re definitely seeking that. It’s not a mistake that you’re seeing them and all of their business. It’s because there’s a part of them that is chasing that.
