(EXCLUSIVE) A$AP Rocky Fires Back at Ex-Manager’s 800k Lawsuit, Accuses Man of Leaking Private Info to Others
He says that per their deal he was to be paid 15% of A$AP’s gross income along with pay him a monthly fee for his work. He claims the unpaid monthly commission payments comes to over 300k along with an additional 550k in unpaid commission from deals he worked for the rapper.
He accused the rapper of failing to provide him with monthly accounting reports on his income, saying he never received a single document from A$AP regarding the money he made.
Smith says he has demanded the unpaid commissions from the rapper but he has refused to pay him.
A$AP’s ex-manager is suing for breach of contact, claiming the rapper has caused him great economic injury and is demanding the full 850k he is owed.
Then on October 2nd, the rapper fired back at his former manager’s allegations denying he did anything wrong. He explained that he paid Smith all compensation due under the contract. A$AP also said his ex-manager was the one to breach their deal NOT him and the agreement was terminated in 2014 and the paperwork stated no further commissions would be due to Smith .
A$AP then counter-sued Smith demanding a court order stating their contract is void. The rapper says that once his career began to rise – he had to bring on a 2nd manager to help Smith – which lead to his deal with Smith to be re-negotiated.
He says that the new agreement had the 2 managers splitting the commissions and he was paid all money owed. However, he says he terminated Smith as his manager in 2014, which specially said he would not be paid another dime on future projects.
A$AP also accuses his ex-manager of providing others with information about his finances, personal life and his business. The rapper is counter-suing Smith demanding he not have to pay a dime to his ex-manager and a court order stating he doesn’t owe the man a dime from future income.
