theJasmineBRAND.com exclusively reports, Lee Daniels is blasting the $1 billion dollar lawsuit filed by a former drug dealer who accuses the director of stealing his life story for “Empire”, saying his hit show is a well written polished soap opera unlike the criminal’s violently graphic and sexually explicit story.

Earlier this year, self described “known ghetto player”, Ron Newt, filed a federal lawsuit against director Lee Daniels, Terrence Howard and the producers of “Empire.” The man claimed that the show is a carbon copy of his film about his own life as a “gangster, pimp and drug dealer”.

Newt claims he met Terrence at the Four Seasons hotel a while back and he told the actor about his documentary, “Bigger Than Big” and Terrence told him he wanted to play him in the film adaptation.
