Charlie Sheen Reveals HIV Positive Status, Says It’s “Impossible” He Passed Virus to Others

Charlie Sheen has revealed that he is HIV positive. The 50-year-old actor Told TODAY’s Matt Lauer:

It’s a hard three letters to absorb. It’s a turning point in one’s life.

Sheen explains that he made the announcement, after being extorted, along with him being a victim of a smear campaign.

I have to put a stop to this onslaught, this barrage of attacks and of sub-truths and very harmful and mercurial stories that are about me, that threaten the health of so many others that couldn’t be further from the truth.

While Sheen isn’t sure how he contracted the virus, he does share that he learned four years ago and initially thought he had something else.

It started with what I thought was a series of crushing headaches. I thought I had a brain tumor. I thought it was over.
