(EXCLUSIVE) Ex-NFL star Hugh Douglas Settles Legal Battle w/ Mistress, Days Before Trial Was to Begin
Davilia filed suit following his sentence and demanded damages for the physical and emotional harm that she claimed Douglas caused her.
The NFL star filed a response in which he fired back at his ex claiming she suffered NO injuries from him. He claimed that they have a physical relationship for 8 months, but he never kept his marriage a secret from her.
Douglas said that he did take Davila to a hotel room on September 22nd 2013, but she became upset and decided to leave on her own. He demanded the lawsuit be dismissed.
The legal battle has been going on for over a year and jury selection took place, with the trial scheduled to begin on December 7th in Connecticut.
Then on December 4th, docs were filed in the case which state that the ex-NFL star and his former mistress have reached a settlement in the case and per their deal the case will be closed. Further, the trial will no longer take place since the parties struck an agreement to dismiss all claims against each other.
