Beyonce To Star In “A Star Is Born” Remake
Beyoncé’s reportedly been taking acting lessons and looking for “an iconic dramatic role.” She was originally said to be interested in the “A Star Is Born” remake when it was to be helmed by Cooper’s “American Sniper” director Clint Eastwood, who then dropped out.
A Star Is Born was originally released in 1954 and starred Judy Garland and James Mason. The screenplay was an adaptation of the original 1937 film, which was based on the original screenplay by Robert Carson, Dorothy Parker, Alan Campbell, and from the same story by William A. Wellman and Carson. Beyonce nor her camp have yet to confirm this new gig.
**UPDATE**
Cooper spoke with E! News on the red carpet of his newest film about Beyonce and the film stating,
[It’s] just a rumor. But with that said, I would be honored obviously with to work with her in any capacity,” he said.”
