Jagged Edge’s Kyle Norman On Attacking His Wife: I was out of my mind. [VIDEO]
‘I was too far gone’. Jagged Edge’s Kyle Norman opens up about physically abusing his now wife.
During a recent appearance on the Steve Harvey Show, Kyle discusses why he was arrested and charged with assaulting his then-fiancee, Marikka in an incident in January 2015. Marikka, who is now his wife, states:
This cost me a lot. It cost me my career. It cost me relationships with my family, close friends, of course my father.
Kyle calls the situation an out-of-body experience and shares:
I’m Kyle, Kyle made a mistake. But I gotta continue to be a better person. We all seem to fall short of the glory of God. You know…I’m human.

honestly, im not speaking on this relationship but i have had an out of body experience that i couldnt stop in the moment.

First, I’m sitting here looking at these photos trying to figure out why she is consoling ?? When I read elsewhere that Kyle made a statement the day of the ordeal “she wouldn’t hold me…I felt the world was against me” there was definitely a blazing red orange flag flying for me.
Then I remembered this is the basic mentality: He needs me…I can’t leave him like this…We as strong Black women are under this belief system that we must hold down the fort at all costs. Play the mother, the father, the husband, the wife, the teacher, the nurse, and the therapist!

Look, I’m in no position to judge, because I can I endured a lot worse from a previous marriage and yes, I went back. And guess what, he tried to kill me again!! But baby, a leopard never changes its spots. Abusers don’t change, they just camouflage.
I stayed because I felt sorry for him. So when I look at these photos and I read how her father has cut her off because she went back to him it is all too real to me.
Real Love does not lose. She has lost so much as a result of this man’s one decision. Who are the winners here, really?
