DeVon Franklin Checks Church Member Who Tells Meagan Good to Stop Dressing Sexy [VIDEO]

Things got a bit awkward for Meagan Good and her husband DeVon Franklin. The couple were in LA promoting their new book, The Wait, at One Church, when a woman from the audience criticized the actress for what she considered inappropriate attire.
During their appearance, there was a Q&A session from the audience. One woman in attendance expressed her displeasure with seeing how Meagan was dressed on a magazine cover. She stated,
This is not offensive, but I was at the grocery store and I looked at a newssatand and saw you — and your had your breast showing. So, so, I wasn’t gonna come here, I wasn’t, but the Lord brought me here to see you. You’re beautiful. You are a beautiful young woman and your testimony is awesome. It’s awesome. Amen. Amen! The Lord let me come and push past the judgement, because you have to make sure what you say and what you do match up, you understand? So, we’re gonna cover up, right?
Devon, who is also a pastor, immediately chimed in, defending his wife telling the woman,
Wait a minute — no! No. Nuh-unh. That is not what we’re here for. She’s not gonna cover up, she gon’ wear what she wants to wear in the name of Jesus…amen. Amen? Amen. Yes she will! God bless you, we love you, I love you dearly but she has been as Christian as she is right now when she wore whatever she wanted to wear, so no we ain’t doing that!
He added,
Y’all about to see another Devon that y’all ain’t never seen! Remember, I’m from Oakland now!

If a woman professes to be a Christian yet she dresses in a way that will unduly draw attention to her body, she is a poor witness of the One who bought her soul by dying for her on the cross. She is forgetting that her body has been redeemed by Christ and is now the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19–20). She is telling the world that she determines her own worth on a purely physical basis and that her attractiveness depends on how much of her body she reveals to them. Further, by dressing in an immodest fashion, displaying her body for men to lust after, she causes her brothers in Christ to sin, something condemned by God (Matthew 5:27–29). Proverbs 7:10 mentions a woman “dressed like a prostitute and with crafty intent”—here, the woman’s heart condition is displayed by her manner of dress.

Truth!I gave her alittle credit lately.To me she’s toned down her provocative style of dressing.I didn’t really think it was an issue anymore.But,you know what I find sad is how people adher to certain rules in life.But,they won’t adher to Gods work.For instant no one challenges what the boss says on there jobs.Many of us won’t commit crimes because we don’t want to go to jail.Many wait the time specified for pay days at places of employment.But,many exert resistance to God word.

I have to agree that she does dress too sexy to be a Christian and a pastor’s wife on top of that. You can’t claim to be saved and yet still do all the same things of the world. There’s supposed to be a clear separation. You can’t judge where someone is in their journey of living the life God has set aside for them, but changing your style of dress is easy. Stop with the excuses and clean up your act. Until then, there’s not a thing you can tell me in that book of yours b/c I’m already seeing you’re not living right.

Im glad DeVon stood up for his wife. Is he to sit there mute while his wife is critisized? Then the topic would be how he’s not a man cause he allowed his wife to endure public judgement and critisim and just sat and watch.
