Rihanna Has More No. 1 Hits Than Michael Jackson + T.I. Lands Roc Nation Deal
Numbers don’t lie! Just ask Rihanna. Thanks to her die hard Navy, the 28-year-old beat Michael Jackson for most No. 1 hits.
On Monday, she released the video for ‘Work‘ which featured her ex rumored boo, Drake.
The single topped the Billboard singles chart on Monday, making her the third artist in music history with the most No. 1 singles.
The late legendary Michael Jackson landed at the top 13 times. The only other two artists with more top hits are The Beatles, with 20 songs, and Mariah Carey, with 18.
Rihanna’s latest album “Anti” is also at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. She celebrated her excitement on Instagram with a hilarious post.
And in other music news, Grammy Award winning recording Tip ‘T.I.’ Harris is the newest TIDAL artist-owner.
This week, Tip announced that he entered into an exclusive distribution agreement with Roc Nation for his forthcoming 10th studio album ‘Dime Trap’ to be released on his Grand Hustle Records. The first single, “Money Talk,” produced by C4 and Kip and is available on TIDAL, the global music and entertainment platform.
Tip has also announced that he is the 19th artist-owner of TIDAL, joining JAY Z, Beyonce, Rihanna, Lil Wayne, Coldplay, Madonna and others in offering up exclusive music, videos, concerts and other content to bring fans closer to their favorite artists.
Over the course of his career, Tip has won three Grammy Awards and has sold over 10 million albums in the US alone. Along with releasing ‘Dime Trap,’ Tip will star in HISTORY/A+E Studios’ “Roots” premiering Memorial Day, as well the upcoming movie “Sleepless Night” opposite Jamie Foxx and Gabrielle Union. The fifth season of his hit VH1 series ‘‘T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle,’ airs this summer. The winter collections of his two clothing lines Hustle Gang & Akoo are currently in stores.
