Cynthia Bailey On Marriage to Peter Thomas: ‘It’s not good right now.’ [VIDEO]
In a new interview with Entertainment Tonight, Cynthia Bailey relives this past season of the Real Housewives of Atlanta and shares that her marriage with Peter Thomas is not in the best place.
It’s just sad. It just felt like so much work; it’s exhausting. It’s exhausting in real life and it’s definitely exhausting to watch it play out on TV…There just comes a point where if it’s not working — I am Cynthia. He his Peter.
Either we fit or we don’t fit. I am the woman that will leave New York City and relocate with her child and nanny to Atlanta, for love. So with that said, I think you know, I get to be that same girl who can say ‘You know I think it’s time for me to pack up my tent, my love tent (laughs) and move somewhere else now.’ Because now it just doesn’t — I just don’t feel that same peace and happiness that I was feeling when we started this journey. There’s a reason why people get married and there’s a reason why they get divorced.
She adds:
I am taking it day by day. I think Peter is a lot more optimistic than I am. I really don’t know. I promise you this is the only thing I can’t answer definitively — is what’s going to happen in the future.

Cynthia also opened up about her marriage during an interview with Reality Checked with Amy Phillips on Radio Andy. She explains,
We’ve been married five years. We’ve been together for eight. We’re the only couple on The Real Housewives of Atlanta that was actually married on The Real Housewives of Atlanta. We’ve never been married outside of the show, and I don’t think that has helped us a lot. Maybe if we were married three years before we got on the show, that would’ve been better. I just have nothing to compare my marriage to outside of being on the show. It’s just been difficult. I mean, the wedding was difficult. Everything about our marriage has been difficult.
She adds,
I never said that we were perfect. I don’t know what’s gonna happen. I usually have all the answers for all the questions, but when it comes to my marriage, I just don’t know right now. I just know that it’s not good right now.

She probably should’ve not married him. There seem to have been some issues before they married.
Whether they make it or not, at least they seem to be putting some real effort into trying before deciding to divorce. Unfortunately, it seems a lot of people don’t value marriage the way they used to and will leave at the drop of a dime. It seems like her mind is really already made up, best of luck to them both. Or maybe just to her if he was cheating. Lol.
