Raven-Symone Leaving ‘The View’ This Summer (Ear Hustlin’)

Raven-Symone is rumored to be leaving The View. Raven joined the show in 2015 and is currently a co-host, along with moderator Whoopi Goldberg, Michelle Collins, Candace Cameron Bure, Paula Faris and Joy Behar.

According to the Daily Mail, Raven, along with Michelle Collins and Candace Cameron-Bure will announce their departures from the show between now and mid-July. According to the site,

Symone has been one of the most controversial hosts of The View in the show’s history.
Fans have heavily criticized her uninformed opinions on the talk show and her constant reminder that she’s ‘not good with her words’. Viewers of the show even started a petition to have her removed from the show, which has 139,407 signatures to date.
‘Simply put, she just may be the worst hire in the history of this show,’ admitted the source.

The View is an Emmy Award winning American talk show that has aired on ABC since August 11, 1997. The show’s concept was conceived by Barbara Walters and Bill Geddie, and is executive produced by Candi Carter and Brian Teta. The View is the fourth-longest-running national daytime talk show in history, behind Live with Kelly, The Phil Donahue Show, and The Oprah Winfrey Show. The original panel consisted of Walters, moderator Meredith Vieira, Joy Behar, Star Jones, and Debbie Matenopoulos.
