(EXCLUSIVE) Rapper Future Reaches Deal With Manager Over Lawsuit
theJasmineBRAND.com exclusively reports, rapper Future can breathe a little easier, with one of his legal battles being dismissed and the rapper and his business manager reaching a deal to end a nearly year-long $125k lawsuit — this according to newly filed court documents.
The rapper was sued by, Envision, an entertainment business management firm in Georgia Court last year. The company provides tax, retirement, payroll and insurance along with management of their finances and they list their clients such as Ludacris, Young Jeezy, August Alsina and many others.
Envision explained they represented Future since April 2012 and their relationship lasted for years. However, they accused the rapper of failing and refusing to report income in excess of $900k during their time working together , money that they were owed a cut of for performing their duties. The company filed suit in Clayton County Georgia Court demanding an excess of $125k in compensatory damages.
The case had been pending for over a year with both sides battling it out in court.
Then on June 28th: Future and Envision filed a joint dismissal stating all claims against each other are dismissed and each party will pay their own attorney fees. The terms of their agreement will remain confidential but interesting to note that Future is still featured on the company website as one of their clients.
Future can breathe a little easier but he is still facing off with his ex-fiance Ciara in her $15 million dollar lawsuit against him and he has also recently been sued by another one of his baby mamas demanding the rapper be ordered to pay more for child support due to an increase in his income.
