Russell Wilson: It was easy keeping our wedding a secret.

It was a fairy tale wedding for Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson and singer Ciara. The duo married last week at Peckforton Castle in Liverpool, England. This week, Russell was back to work getting ready to host Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Sports Awards, and told “Extra” about the nuptials.
Russell explained how the couple kept their wedding under wraps,

One hundred plus of our closest, closest friends, and family so all those people understood how we wanted to keep it just about… loving one another, marriage, getting together and, God and all that kind of stuff, that was really special for us, that was easy kind of keeping it a secret.

Wilson sang the praises of their celebrity wedding planner, Mindy Weiss:

She’s done so many great weddings.

He also gushed over his new bride,

To share the rest of my life with her, Ciara, is really amazing, she’s the sweetest person I ever met, she’s so kind to so many people, she’s the best mom you’ll ever meet.

Ciara’s 2-year-old son, Future, with ex Future Zahir, nearly stole the show at the wedding wearing a custom Armani suit that matched Russell’s.

Wilson talked about how great of a mom his new bride is to her son,

She takes him to class all the time, running around playing in the park, doing so many different things, takes little man to go listen to her music… it’s great to have somebody so special.
