Does rapper Lil Kim’s alleged beef with actress Naturi Naughton have anything to do with her complexion? During a recent interview on “The Preachers”, Naturi alluded to the fact that Kim took issue with her playing the rapper on the 2009 biopic, “Notorious.”

One of the hosts asks Naturi:

There were rumors that Lil Kim felt like you were a little too brown, too dark, to play her. What do you think about this whole skin debate in Hollywood?

Naturi said,

Some people can’t handle the chocolate, honey….colorism, it’s a real thing, it’s unfortunate. Especially being an actress, I’m not gonna deny it and it’s real. And it hurts when it has affect me.

She continued:

I was honored, and proud, and hoped that people enjoyed my of Lil Kim and that’s all I wanted to do.
