Producers Phasing Raven-Symone Off ‘The View’? (Rumor)
Is Raven-Symoné really back or nah? Last week, we reported that the child actress was returning for season 20 on ‘The View’. But now, according to a new report that’s only partially true. Reportedly, the 30-year-old, who has made headlines over the last year for having unpopular opinions, “will be phased out” of the show. A source claims:
The plan is to phase Raven out slowly. She has some projects cooking, and they’ll say she left to focus on those.
ABC News President James Goldston denies plans of eventually axing Raven,
No one is being phased out, period. Paula and Raven have been a tremendous part of our success this year, they’re just getting started.
As previously reported, outside of Raven, Sara Haines will reportedly be a permanent co-host, joining returning co-hosts Joy Behar, Candace Cameron Bure, Paula Faris, and moderator Whoopi Goldberg. In addition, frequent guest co-hosts Sunny Hostin and Jedediah Bila would become frequent contributors to the show.
The View is a talk show that has aired on ABC since August 11, 1997, as part of its daytime programming block. The show’s concept was conceived by Barbara Walters and Bill Geddie.
