Will Smith Admits He & Wife Jada Have Done Lots of Marriage Counseling

It’s no secret, marriage takes work. Just ask 47-year-old Will Smith and his 44-year-old wife Jada Pinkett-Smith, who have been married close to twenty years.

In a recent interview, Will says that they’ve had therapy, to work on their union:

I’ve done a lot of marriage counseling. What happens in a marriage once you do counseling, the truth comes out. And you sit across from your wife and you’ve said all of your truth and she has said all of her truth.

You look at each other and you can’t imagine you could ever possibly love each other again now the truth is out. It creates a dark moment. But for me it’s the dark before the dawn. When the truth comes out and people have to say who they are and what they think, you get to know who they are.

He adds,

I think that’s the cleansing before you get to the other side that is understanding and moving forward in our relationship.

This is the first marriage for Jada and second for Will.

Previously, he was married to Hollywood Exes reality star Sheree Fletcher. Will and Sheree have a 23-year-old son named Trey.

Why is this being reported? I’m sure they aren’t the only famous couple that has had counseling,rather it’s a lot or a little.This should be seen as a strong need to make there marriage a priority and a need to keep their it together.Or is this the media way of enforcer those false reports that said they were divorcing or divorced.Im just so angry at the blatant bias that these media outlets excercise in regard to the Smith marriage.I rarely see it with Caucasian famous marriages.Im starting to develop a deep disdain for this country.The bias against blacks is just out of control.

  Youre reaching. He did an interview and as a hollywood staple who is married for so long, she asked a valid question. HOW? Because it isnt the norm. He answered the question truthfully and Im thankful for it as are many others who look up to and/or worship “stars”. He didnt have to answer it truthfully and that shows his awesomeness. How you made this about bias is beyond me!

Counseling should be a part of regular care and check ups, like getting a physical from your doctor or an eye exam. At times you’ll need more care, others you’ll need just an annual visit. I appreciate the Smiths being open about this and showing they care enough to 1: not ignore their problems 2: get the help to work on them together 3: show other folks that true, real, lasting love takes work.

WILL SMITH, show is better than TI WILL don’t have alot of kids from different whores and jada is much better than that slut TINY ! OH, HOW IS SHE TINY SHE WAS BIG UNTIL SHE GOT ON THAT CRACK TI NEEDS A REAL WOMAN & CHILDREN.
