Scottie Pippen – Christian Laettner to Pay Back Debt Owed
theJasmineBRAND.com exclusively reports, Scottie Pippen finally received some good news this week — following the ex NBA star filing for divorce from his wife Larsa. Former NBA player Christian Laettner reached a settlement with his numerous creditors and his bankruptcy case has been closed, meaning Pippen and the other famous athletes owed money will finally get paid from the $10 million dollar deal reached.
Earlier this year, Laettner was hit with an involuntary bankruptcy case initiated by several of his creditors. The list of those owed substantial amount of money – totaling over $14 million – from the ex-NBA star included many retired NFL and NBA players.
Recently, the creditors reached a deal with Laettner in which he would use the profits from selling his interest in a business he sold.
The $10 million dollar settlement was to be paid out to five creditors including Pippen, his former Duke teammate Johnny Dawkins, NFL star Jonathan Stewart and former linebacker Ernie Sims.
Laettner has had his share of financial troubles since leaving the NBA. At one point reportedly reaching $30 million dollars in debt, but it appears he has dug himself out of that dire situation.

On October 25th, docs were filed by the creditors consenting to the dismissal of the bankruptcy case due to their settlement. The judge signed off on the deal and dismissed the bankruptcy case.
