Mary J. Blige On Kendu Isaacs: Not knowing someone that you thought you knew for years is horrible.
Mary J. Blige On Split From Kendu Isaacs
It’s no secret — divorce isn’t fun. Just ask Mary J. Blige who is engulfed in what appears to be a messy divorce from her husband Kendu Isaacs of 13 years. In a recent interview, the singer says,
I’m in the thick of it. I’m in the middle of a divorce that’s everywhere (in the news). It’s just how hard life is. It’s the pain, it’s the lawyers, it’s the ‘this,’ it’s the ‘that…’Not even knowing someone that you thought you knew for years is horrible.
However, Blige says that there is light at the end of the tunnel.
There’s hope in it as well, because I have to keep the joy so I can live and survive. I can’t just die with all the sadness, that’s why I’m here because I kept my joy. In spite of my pain and crying and releasing everything onstage to my fans and us healing together, I kept my joy.
Blige and Kendu married in 2003. In July 2016, Blige filed for divorce, citing “irreconcilable differences”. The couple had no children together.

Mary keep your head up this to shall pass. Kendu I think you should be ashamed of yourself for the amount of money you expect for Mary I thought a husbands job was to provide and protect. And a manager why didn’t you have other artist besides Mary? Most men who are ambitious don’t just have 1 they want more to become popular as well as successful. Shame on you.
