Charles Barkley Donates $1 Million To 2 HBCU’s
Kudos to Charles Barkley! On Tuesday, the former NBA star gave a $1 million dollar donation to two HBCU’s — Clark Atlanta University and Alabama A&M. The co-host of TNT’s “Inside the NBA” shared the news during a radio interview, as part of the trending #GivingTuesday campaign. Clark Atlanta President Ronald A. Johnson said,
We are delighted to receive this generous gift from Mr. Barkley. This gift reflects Barkley’s tremendous heart and his desire to make a significant, positive and lasting difference in the lives of others. It is a testament to the importance of the transformative impact of CAU on its students, surrounding community, the nation and beyond.
This isn’t Barkley’s first time donating to a college. In June 2015, he donated $1 million dollars to Morehouse College, his alma mater Auburn University and the Wounded Warrior Project in Atlanta.
