Keke Palmer: Trey Songz Is Lying, Other Women Had Similar Experiences
Keke Palmer: Trey Songz is LYING
The disagreement between Keke Palmer and Trey Songz continues. This week, the 23-year-old actress and singer is responding to Trey’s recent comments about the video controversy. She tells WGCI Chicago,
He’s lying. I mean, he knows what it is, and people gon’ say what they wanna say — there’s nothing that I can do about that. It’s just my word, his word. It’s over now.
When asked if Keke’s friendship is now over with Trigga, she says,
I mean probably after this last thing he said, yeah. We already came to a conclusion…I’ve already let it go and I was the one that felt a way. If I can let it go, you can let it go. But if you don’t want to let it go, I really don’t give a sh*t because I’ve already moved forward.
Keke continues,
Somebody that had true intentions would be like, ‘You know what? My bad.’ You should be looking out for me anyway. I’ve known you since I was 12.
She also claims that other women have contacted her, saying they’ve experienced similar situations with Songz.
The messages that I got from other women saying that were put in similar situations and had gone through unfortunately similar events with this person, it made me feel like, ‘Whoo I did what I needed to do.’
Here’s the clip of Keke addressing the situation.
As previously reported, last month, Keke took to social media, claiming that she did NOT approve the Trey Songz & Fabolous “Pick Up The Phone” Feat. MIKExANGEL (Travis Scott Remix) video that she made a cameo appearance in. She wrote:
This is preposterous. How am I in this video Trey? After you found me in a closet HIDING because I was so afraid of anymore conflict. Literally my last option was to hide because you all would not listen when I said I did not want to be in the video the FIRST time. Just cause you give someone food and alcohol and throw in a little sexual intimidation doesn’t mean they will buckle. Yet, you still disrespected me as a young women, whom you’ve known since she was TWELVE. YOU STILL, defied my wishes and in turn showed your lack of respect for a brand that took me fourteen years to build and put me in the video against my wishes. Come on bruh, I clearly said no and you said okay, yet I was being secretly filmed when you told me “let me just show you the idea”?? Wow. This is what I’m referring to in my previous post, this is the sexism and misogyny I refer to because if I was a dude, he wouldn’t have even tried me like this. Let this be a lesson to all, I’m not for the bullshit. I’m serious about my business and you will not use my likeness without MY permission. When you in front of a boss you treat them like one, like I treat YOU. NO MEANS NO!!!!!!! People have to listen to women and stop questioning them and their intelligence. Speak up, cause when you look someone in the face and they say “I understand. You don’t have to feel pressured to do the video” and they STILL put you in it, it is a violation. It would be great to be able to handle these things privately but why when they aren’t respected?
Keke also posted videos explaining the situation. Here’s part 1:
And here’s part 2:
And here’s a clip of the actual party that Keke was at, where she says she felt pressured:
Check out the video that Keke is referring to below. She’s featured at the beginning video, at the 0:35 mark.
Last week, Songz did an interview, saying that Keke was lying about the situation.
He says,
Ain’t nobody put her on camera without asking. There’s a sign on the door that there’s a video being shot. You stop on these premises, you will be recorded. Point, blank period. I don’t have to say nothing else about nothing.
He continues,
I will say that being that her and I have had a friendship, I’ve known her for a long time….It was always cool and it was always love … That’s why I didn’t want to speak out. She was doing her most to defame me – I thought that was wack.
Trey makes a point to say that Keke had him on her Snapchat and he was unaware, but didn’t make an issue of it. He says,
Keke got me on her Snapchat. I’m talking to girls, I’m smoking, I’m doing all type of stuff I don’t know she’s shooting me on her Snap. Do I go on the internet and say ‘Keke you got me on my Snap talking to girls?’
Trey also says that they did NOT make up.
That’s a lie too. I ain’t talk to her.
Check out the clip.
