Oprah: I Knew I’d Never Regret Not Having Children Or Getting Married
Oprah Never Regretted Not Having Children, Getting Married
A traditional life was never in the cards for Oprah Winfrey. For years, the 63-year-old media mogul has been transparent about many aspects of her life, including why she opted to not walk down the aisle and have children. Speaking about the Leadership Academy, she explains:
It is more rewarding than I would ever have imagined. I was doing this to help them, but it has brought a light to my life that I can’t explain. For me it was perfect, because I didn’t want babies. I wouldn’t have been a good mum for babies. I don’t have the patience. I have the patience for puppies, but that’s a quick stage! But this is so rewarding.
She continued,
When people were pressuring me to get married and have children, I knew I was not going to be a person that ever regretted not having them, because I feel like I am a mother to the world’s children. Love knows no boundaries.
P.S. Do you agree with Oprah’s decision to not get married and have children?

Ok…Oprah, you robbed a child of a privileged life. Your child could have been our next president. Or at least she could have adopted a child. So selfish.
Selfish!?!? Seriously!?!? It’s HER life HER body HER choice. She didn’t rob anyone of anything. Remember privilege does not mean happiness. As a matter of fact a large number of “privileged” children grown up thinking the world owes them something. Instead of focusing on her choice not to have a child maybe look at all the good she has done for individuals who are not so privileged.
Don’t forget that our purpose for being on this earth is to Procreate which she has decided not to do which is her choice and for a woman of her status not to have children is a injustice to this world and today she a mother to world’s children is a boogus excuse. I would rather her be honest and say that she can’t have kids instead of that lame ass excuse
WHAT!?!? So because she has money it is her duty to have children? I guess if she was broke then you would accept her decision not to procreate. I know we are all entitled to our opinion but this is the most ridiculous discussion I’ve engaged in so I’m going to bow out – you know what is said about arguing with a fool . . .
No need for name calling, it’s always good to have debates, I think you should have learned that in college if you attended but if you wanna label yourself as fool then be my guest I’m still entitled to my opinion as you are the person who engaged me, Oprah did not pay you to come to her defense, in fact she has not done anything personally for you so stop being a fool it’s not a good look for you.
